There’s More to Wisconsin Dells than Just Waterparks
During our stay in Chicago, my mother was awesome to keep the kids so my husband and I can take a break. The end of 2010 through spring of 2012 was a continuously stressful and busy time for us. Starting from the “surprise” pregnancy that resulted in our third bundle of joy, to my husband racing to finish his PhD dissertation, and then the move from Chicago to Houston. We really needed a break, and thank God grandma was willing to help!
We drove to Wisconsin Dells for a few days, and honestly all we wanted to do was nothing. We wanted to sleep at any time, wake up at any time, eat our food while it’s hot? You get the picture. Whatever we got to do was a bonus, and it felt GREAT. While we did go to Mount Olympus water park, which is probably one of the largest outdoor water parks in the Dells, we did a lot of nature exploring. Being able to drive anywhere and stop for pictures and a walk is a luxury we don’t have, so we made the best out of it. I will follow with another post and more pictures soon.
